NWMC Spotlight on Legislation
May 17 - Both the House and the Senate are in session this week. This Friday (May 22) is the deadline to pass substantive bills from the opposite chamber (third reading deadline). Legislative floor action will likely spill over as the General Assembly's adjournment is not scheduled until May 31. The state budget and many legislative proposals affecting local government are still being considered by legislators.
